Dudley CCG is responsible for providing medical care outside of our opening hours. To contact the out-of-hours services please ring 111, If you telephone the surgery when we are closed a recorded message will advise you of this same number to access the out-of-hours service.
Should you require simple advice at any time, NHS 111 ia available by telephone on 111, or NHS Direct online can be accessed via the internet at www.nhs.uk
NHS 111 offers free expert health information and advice 24 hours a day. It can advise you whether you need to go to the nearest A&E (accident and emergency) or if there is an alternative such as visiting an NHS Walk-In Centre or Urgent Care Centre.
For deaf people and those hard of hearing, a telephone services is available on 111. If English is not your preferred language, you can choose to use a confidential translation service.
NHS 111 is a nationwide telephone service for people to call if they need medical help fast but are not in a life-threatening situation. It replaced NHS Direct.
The easy to remember, free to call number has been introduced across England to help reduce the pressure on A&E departments and the 999 service. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a week, the service is available for people who aren’t sure if they need to go to A&E, don’t have a GP to call or generally need reassurance and advice.
On dialling 111 a team of fully trained advisers and experienced nurses will assess your condition and direct you to the local service that can help you best, when you need it.
There are now only three numbers to know: 999 for life-threatening emergencies, your GP surgery and 111.
